Eligibility
Items purchased from Maharaja Mart are eligible for a refund or exchange if they meet the following criteria:
- The item is damaged, defective, or incorrect upon delivery.
- The item has not been opened, used, or altered from its original condition (unless it arrived damaged or defective).
- Perishable goods (fresh vegetables, fruits, dairy, sweets) must be reported within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
- Non-perishable goods must be reported within 7 days of delivery or pickup.
Timeframe
Refund or exchange requests must be made within the following timeframes:
- Perishable items: Within 24 hours of receiving the order.
- Non-perishable items: Within 7 days of receiving the order.
- Requests made after these timeframes may not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Proof of Purchase
To process a refund or exchange, you must provide:
- A valid receipt or order confirmation (digital or printed).
- Photographic evidence of the issue (for damaged or defective items).
- The original packaging, if applicable.
Condition of Returns
Returned items must meet the following conditions:
- Items must be in their original, unopened packaging unless the product was received damaged or defective.
- Items must not have been used, consumed, or altered in any way.
- All tags, labels, and seals must be intact.
- Items should be returned in a condition suitable for resale (where applicable).
Refund Process
Once your return request is approved:
- Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
- For in-store purchases paid by cash, refunds may be issued as store credit or cash at the discretion of the store manager.
- You will receive a confirmation once the refund has been processed.
Non-Refundable Items
The following items are not eligible for refund or exchange:
- Perishable goods reported after the 24-hour window.
- Items that have been opened, used, or consumed.
- Items purchased on clearance or marked as final sale.
- Gift cards, vouchers, or store credits.

Shipping Costs
Regarding shipping costs for returns:
- If the return is due to an error on our part (wrong item, damaged, or defective), we will cover the return shipping cost.
- If the return is for any other reason (e.g., change of mind), the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.
- Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the order was incorrect or damaged.
